Fan shop, DICK’S House of Sport: Pittsburgh

For DICK’S House of Sport Pittsburgh, I helped shape a fan shop rooted in the city’s deep, collective sports identity. As a Pittsburgh local, I was able to draw on my own familiarity with the city and its sports culture to help create an experience that feels unmistakably Pittsburgh. Visual and environmental cues help athletes navigate between teams and products, while moments of discovery invite them to slow down, explore, and connect with the space.

We built the environment around Pittsburgh’s distinctive visual language, drawing from industrial textures, iconic color palettes, local architecture, and subtle references to the city’s teams. Details were developed down to the smallest scale to create authenticity without relying solely on licensed imagery. Together, graphics, fixtures, materials, and spatial moments create a fan experience that feels specific to Pittsburgh while remaining distinctly DICK’S.
